Ultimate High

ULTIMATE Frisbee has been taking off in Guernsey.
The local group started with a small number of friends last summer. By the autumn a league had kicked off, and now there are 40 registered players.
Strictly speaking the sport is referred to as Ultimate for copyright reasons.
Local organiser Jon Pettitt is keen for more people to get involved.
‘Ultimate is a fast-moving, non-contact team sport enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of players the world over,’ he said.
The sport is open to anybody, and you do not have to have a high level of fitness, although it certainly helps.
This gallery features photos from a recent Ultimate event at Les Beaucamps High School playing fields.
