Argylls pull off two major signing coups
Friday 16th April 2010, 2:29PM BST.
TWO of Guernsey best young cricketers have signed to play at Argyll Investment CC this summer.
Tim Ravenscroft and Will Peatfield have both played age group cricket for county sides – Hampshire and Sussex respectively – in recent years.
Peatfield spent much of the winter in South Africa, playing club cricket and training with the Sussex academy.
Ravenscroft, 18 (pictured), will captain Elizabeth College during the early weeks of the season before he can play for his new club at weekends.
Regarded as the island’s best young batsman and on the verge of England age-group selection in recent years, Ravenscroft did not play weekend cricket last year after the College season.
