Bad luck hits Priaulx as driveshaft breaks

A BMW M3 GT2 car which Andy Priaulx is driving in endurance races this season. The team suffered misfortune when the driveshaft broke in Germany last weekend. (0936993)
In qualifying, the team had secured second on the grid for the four-hour race, but starting driver Priaulx had to pit on lap four due to a broken driveshaft.
Following a 30-minute repair stop, the GT sports car rejoined the race way outside the top 100.
Priaulx and his teammates, Augusto Farfus, Pedro Lamy and Dirk Adorf, worked their way up over the course of the race.
However, it was impossible for them to close the gap to the front-runners after the problems in the opening stage.
