THERE will be a repeat of last year’s men’s final as top seed Garry Dodd will play second seed Olly Langlois in the Island Championships singles showpiece.
Both players were in dominant form in their respective quarter-final encounters.
Dodd dispatched Liam Robilliard 4-0 and Langlois did likewise against Paul Hainsworth.
It was not all smooth running for the top seeds and they both encountered stiff resistance in their semi-final encounters.
Dodd lost the opening leg against Phil Ogier before battling to win the next three legs. Ogier salvaged the fifth to keep the contest alive, but the defending champion had too much on the night and wrapped up a 4-2 victory.
