Move into our Markets takes Steve back to his Essex roots

SELLING is in a new market trader’s blood.
Steve Reynolds (pictured) is the latest tenant in the Inner Street with his shop the Fabric Factory – but he made his first sale at the age of 10 on his dad’s market stall in Essex.
‘I grew up with it. We had a market stall for years – my first day on the stall we were selling three boob tubes for a £1,’ said Mr Reynolds, who was born and grew up in Billericay.
Soon the family had four shops, including one in Maldon, which they still own.
The family had their opportunity when they got two commissions, one from a Jersey hotel and one here, to do all their soft furnishings.
‘It all started from there,’ said Mr Reynolds.
The family relocated to Jersey and opened the Fabric Factory in St Helier.
