THE Guernsey Triathlon Club made full use of the Easter weekend to hold a three-day triathlon, in conjunction with the Guernsey Velo Club and the GIAAC.

The De Putron Easter 10x10x1000 Challenge consisted of a 10km run on Easter Friday, followed by a 10-mile cycling leg on Saturday and finishing with a 1,000m swim at Beau Sejour on Sunday.

The times for each of these events were then added together to produce an overall result.

Over the weekend, local competitors had a strong challenge from the UK, with Lisa Picton and Nathan Gosling taking the opportunity to do some early season training while visiting family in the island.

Picton is one of the best female triathletes in the South West, while Gosling is a gold medal winner in European Duathlon.
