Guernsey’s most important match
Friday 23rd April 2010, 2:30PM BST.
GUERNSEY and Hove collide tomorrow in what is arguably the biggest game in both rugby clubs’ history.
The sides finished as runners-up in London Two South-West and South-East respectively and now they meet in a promotion play-off with the chance to scale new heights at stake.
Hove host the game having finished their league campaign with a superior record, but neither club has ever played at London One level before.
‘It is huge for us to come away with a victory and the entire squad and club understand the importance of this game on where we are and where we want to be,’ said Guernsey captain Simon Sharrott (pictured).
‘The squad know that the hard work and effort we have put in over the season will be worthless if we do not perform – our fate is in our own hands.’
