No fare hikes in sight as the airlines count the cost of ash

AIRLINES are not anticipating fares rising as a result of the disruption caused by ash from a volcano in Iceland.
Aurigny lost an estimated £40,000 to £50,000 a day, but commercial director Malcolm Coupar said it would not be putting fares up.

Mr Coupar said it was difficult this early to calculate accurately the impact on its trading position.
Blue Islands and Flybe also said fares would remain the same.
