GUERNSEY sea cadets and a party from HMS Daring carried out the ceremonial colours at the SeaGuernsey mast yesterday.
At 10am the sea cadets, junior sea cadets, marine cadets, HMS Daring crew members and representatives from Girl Guiding circled the mast while a variety of flags were raised to represent the start of the summer boating season.
The Guernsey Blue Ensign navy flag was one of those hoisted up the mast.
It is also the first time Girlguiding Guernsey has had a flag flying from the mast.
The gold and blue flag represents the organisation’s centenary year.
