CENKOS AMAZONS pulled off an outstanding, last-gasp victory to beat Jersey champions RWB 4-3 in Sunday’s women’s hockey ‘Upton’ at Foote’s Lane.
It was 3-3 at half-time with the Amazons goals being scored by Michelle Gilson, Kirsty Davison and Izzy Wray, all from open play.
The score stayed at that throughout almost the entire second half with the play going backwards and forwards between the two teams.
Home goalkeeper Lucy Sharratt, who is only 16, played exceptionally well, saving many good attempts at goal by RWB.
