GUERNSEY have banished the disappointment of missing out on promotion and have their eyes firmly on regaining the Siam Cup.
That was the message from a typically purposeful captain Simon Sharrott as the XV who will take to the field in green at 3pm tomorrow at Foote’s Lane were announced yesterday.
‘The squad is good – everyone is focused on the job in hand,’ said the skipper.
‘We were disappointed last week [with the loss to Hove], but as a squad we have put a line in the sand under that.
‘We know where we went wrong and what we have got to take out of that game is that there were many things we did right and we will focus hard on those in the lead-up to this game.
‘We are all looking forward to Saturday.’
