No-confidence vote hangs over Public Services board
Tuesday 4th May 2010, 2:30PM BST.
PUBLIC SERVICES is under mounting pressure to resign or face a vote of no confidence at the next States meeting.
The department has come under heavy fire recently and Deputy David De Lisle has said he will look to have the whole board removed.
PSD minister Bernard Flouquet, Alderney representative Bill Walden and Deputy Tony Spruce are the main targets as they are considered to be ‘pro-incineration’. However, a vote of no confidence must be against the entire board – it cannot single out individual members.
Deputy Flouquet (pictured) has come in for criticism from States members following his decision to step aside and let his deputy, Scott Ogier, lead development of the new waste strategy.
Deputy Spruce hit the headlines after performing a U-turn on his decision to resign from the board following his failure to get the Suez incinerator reinstated.

Stop dithering.Forget about hurting someone’s feelings.Grasp the nettle and register your proposed vote of no confidence.Then you can vote back the people who really want to get on with sorting out the waste problem
Chouet tip won’t wait for ditherers,especially since they seem to be taking stuff from the green tip into the main dump again.
I saw two lorry loads being moved into the main tip while I was recycling this morning.

The whole bunch should go;
If for no other reason than they allow such people to resign . then allow them to stay on, and would you (Adam&Eve it) allow them to make judgement by Voting on the very subjects they resigned for-
Therefore in my opinion, the whole bunch is negligent to the people who voted for them. they have broken trust; and therefore should resign en bloc (Not just talk, but get out NOW)
