‘Foiling these thieves is not rocket science’

TEN houses in two areas of St Peter Port have been broken into in the space of a month.
Burglaries took place at night on the western side of the parish, around King’s Road, and further north, near Courtil St Jacques.
Laptops, cash, computer games and a silver pocket watch were among the items taken.
Crime reduction adviser Andy Goodall (pictured) said on every occasion access was gained through unlocked doors and windows.
‘These are preventable crimes. From time to time there is a spate of it – they will keep trying until they get caught. By taking simple advice such as locking your doors and windows these crimes could be stopped,’ he said.

Creating them through an outdated inferior schooling system is a different matter.
