Drama takes off as deal staged in Dubai

THE Helen O’Grady Drama Academy is expanding into Dubai.
Nigel Le Page, national director of the Guernsey-based drama academy franchise, was able to secure a deal for an operation in the city after taking advantage of a free flight offer being run by British Airways for small and medium-sized Guernsey companies.
Announced in January, the offer from the airline, in cooperation with the Guernsey Enterprise Agency and Commerce and Employment, offered local firms 10 return flights to any of BA’s 155 domestic, short- or long-haul destinations.
The visit could also pave the way for further expansion in other neighbouring cities, according to Mr Le Page.
‘I have to say the meetings were probably the most exhaustive I have encountered, with a whole range of questions relating to our curriculum, training, support, finances and, of course, the franchise contract.
