FOUR Sarnians recently found themselves representing England in an Indoor Netball Tri Series in South Africa.

The tournament, which also featured Australia, South Africa and a South African Invitational side, was exposure for an English side still inexperienced in this form of the game.

Indoor netball is a variation of netball, where the playing court is surrounded on each side and overhead by a net.

Gill Queripel was the coach of both the men’s and mixed sides, while James Robert and Naomi Taylor competed in the respective teams, with Emma Guilbert also at the event as an umpire.

Queripel was amazed at being given the opportunity to coach her national side.
