Threat worries club bosses

Mark Le TissierNORTH’S new president-elect says he hopes Mark Le Tissier is not serious about pulling the plug on the GFA’s involvement with leagues and cups.

The GFA chairman (pictured) has reacted to news that senior clubs are proposing further dismantling of the association’s FA approved four-year plan, saying that perhaps now is the best time to allow the clubs to run domestic league and cups, while the GFA get on with the business of development and running the representative sides.

Cortez, who until recently was working for the association as both fixtures secretary and in a developmental role, said the clubs should be worried.

‘I’m hoping he’s only saying it, intending to shock people.’
