Ties with Jersey have never been stronger, says Trott

Lyndon TrottCOOPERATION between Guernsey and Jersey has never been better, according to Chief Minister Lyndon Trott.

He is set to speak alongside Jersey’s Treasury minister Senator Philip Ozouf at a specially arranged business breakfast briefing on Tuesday at the OGH to discuss the islands’ finance and collaboration opportunities.

Organised by the management team from Lloyds TSB Offshore Corporate Banking, the pair will then travel to Jersey on Wednesday for a similar event there.

Deputy Trott (pictured) and Senator Ozouf will spend a few minutes at the briefings outlining their current fiscal policies before entering into a wider debate on shared fiscal practice.

There will also be a question and answer session allowing attendees ranging from members of the public to business leaders and politicians to pose their own questions.
