MORE than 100 French yachts sailed into Guernsey yesterday on the second leg of the Telegramme Tresco Trophee.

The vessels had left Morlaix a day earlier and raced to the island.

The crews will be spending two days relaxing here before heading to Perros-Guirec then back to Morlaix.

The race has been run for more than 20 years and stops in Guernsey each time.

Normally the yachts would sail straight into the Victoria Marina, but the currents and lack of wind meant they had to moor outside before they could be brought in.
