Isle of Man still in the zero-10 loop, says Policy Council

THE Policy Council is reassuring the finance industry Guernsey is still working with the Isle of Man on what will replace zero-10.

It follows an update on the review of the corporate tax regime by Chief Minister Lyndon Trott in the April States meeting.

He said Guernsey and Jersey were committed to coming up with comparable systems but made no mention of the Isle of Man. But a Policy Council spokesman denied that should be taken as a sign the latter was going it alone.

‘Dialogue continues across the Crown Dependencies on a regular basis but given geographic proximity, face to face discussion with Jersey, as might be expected, is often a little more frequent.’
