It is the first time the Army Schools Challenge Cup has taken place in Guernsey and 12 teams of 10 from schools including St Sampson’s High, Le Murier and Elizabeth College took part.
Each did about six activities based around different military scenarios.
These included putting a tower together, setting up a rope to transport an ammunition box from one side to the other, building a buggy to race and transporting ‘medical supplies’ out of a ‘minefield’.
In the last exercise, students had to use wooden planks, tyres and buckets to move across the field at the Scouts’ Rue Maingy headquarters.
