THE Guernsey Xtreme Sports Association is expecting to see the final plans for a permanent skatepark at Beau Sejour within weeks.

The first drafts were handed over by UK designer Gravity last month.

Local skateboarders and BMX riders were then asked to contribute design ideas for the facility.

The plans were put on display on the Guernsey Skatepark Planning and Input group on Facebook and islanders were urged to leave feedback on the page so the design can be modified to incorporate any features users feel have been left out.

The association’s PJ De La Mare said they sent back the first draft plans with islanders’ suggestions and he hopes to see the finished plan soon.

There seems to be a lot of empty space up for grabs, maybe it would benefit from a small half pipe then there would be no need to travel between the new site and delancey?

I guess Sueco won`t be allowed a marquee if
they wanted one – wouldn`t be in keeping!
