GUERNSEY won’t be the only ‘Gs’ at their Croatia Uefa Regions Cup qualifier this September.
Gwent will represent Wales after their County League side thumped the North East Wales League in the final of the Welsh equivalent of the Carlsberg FA National League System Cup.
Interested observers in the crowd in Shrewsbury included Guernsey boss Tony Vance and his assistant, Colin Fallaize, who made a nine-hour round trip to a game which was won 5-1 by Gwent.
The verdict? ‘They had a couple of useful players, but we have nothing to fear,’ said Vance (pictured).
‘They were nice and solid. It was good to see what we are up against.’
