‘Don’t write off zero-10 yet’

Jersey Senator Philip OzoufSCRAPPING zero-10 is not a foregone conclusion, according to the Jersey Treasury minister.

Senator Philip Ozouf, who was speaking alongside Chief Minister Lyndon Trott at a Lloyds TSB breakfast seminar yesterday, told an audience of financiers, politicians and business professionals, that ‘if changes were required to the zero-10 regime’, he was convinced that it was something Jersey and Guernsey would be working closely together on.

After the seminar, Senator Ozouf (pictured) expanded on what he meant by ‘if changes were required’.

He said that while that did not mean Jersey was not committed to change if change was required, he simply wanted to take time before going down that road.

    The sooner they scrap zero the better,then companies will have to pay tax and fill the black hole.
