Mercator Trust Company managing director David Preston whose company was one of two that won a free advert in an FT special.
GUERNSEY firms Asset Risk Consultants and Mercator have won the chance to advertise for free in the Financial Times, thanks to GuernseyFinance.
The newspaper is to publish a special feature on Guernsey as a finance centre on Thursday 18 November.
In return for the promotional agency initiating the project with them, the FT allocated it advertising space within the supplement.
But rather than take up the offer itself, GuernseyFinance decided to pass on the opportunity to local firms.
In total, 23 companies submitted a 200-word piece on why they deserved to be one of two firms to each take up an eighth of a page colour advert, worth £15,000, in the FT.
