Gold star for Golden Series

OLYMPIC gold medallist Jason Gardener MBE is travelling to Guernsey for a guest appearance at the Intertrust Golden Series athletics event next month.
Gardener, who won gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics as part of the British 4x100m relay team, is bringing his medal over with him for the public to see at the Garenne Stand on Saturday 19 June.
He is known as one of the UK’s all time greatest sprinters, becoming world indoor champion over 60m in 2004, four-time European champion over 60m, Commonwealth Games gold medallist for the 4x100m relay and boasting a personal best of 9.98sec. over 100m.
The Intertrust Golden Series will see athletes from across the UK competing against top local athletes in a full day of competition.
