DC puts off island move as her Alderney partner is suspended
Friday 21st May 2010, 2:29PM BST.
ALDERNEY’S suspended police sergeant is in ‘good spirits’, according to his partner.
Sara Hindle, a detective constable with Greater Manchester Police, said Sergeant James Priest (pictured) had been greatly encouraged by the support of islanders and was hoping for a swift return to work.
‘James would like to thank everybody for their overwhelming support,’ said DC Hindle. ‘The suspension has devastated him but he has nothing to fear and the support of everyone has been a real comfort.
‘James is hoping to be back leading Alderney Police as soon as possible.’
