Benefit cheats kept quiet about granny’s legacy

A COUPLE of benefit frauds who split up last year could soon be sharing an address again – Les Nicolles Prison.
Keeping quiet about a £20,000 inheritance netted Tina Le Goupillot and Douglas King £5,000 from Social Security to which they were not entitled – and earned them jail sentences.
But the cheats, who between them admitted four offences, lodged immediate appeals against sentence.
King was sentenced to eight weeks and Le Goupillot to five but both were granted unconditional bail pending their appeals.
