FRESH development plans have been submitted for the troubled Coupee Lane site.

The derelict patch of land behind Cornet Street has changed hands several times over the years but nothing has been built on the small plot.

Last year, owner Coupee Lane Ltd applied to put up a flat-roofed 24-bedroom apartment building but the plans were later withdrawn.

The proposals sparked outrage among neighbours, who said it would be unattractive and not in keeping with the area.

Coupee Lane Ltd director Charles McHugh said they had listened to the criticisms.
