Mother-killer wants parole decision reviewed
Saturday 29th May 2010, 2:29PM BST.
KILLER Wayne Le Sauvage wants a judicial review into a parole committee decision, a court heard yesterday.
The former labourer was jailed for seven years for the 2006 manslaughter of his mother, Elaine Le Sauvage.
Le Sauvage (pictured), who was 32 at the time of his trial in 2007, wants to apply for leave to request a court hearing which would look at whether a decision made by the parole committee was made fairly.
Nurse Elaine Le Sauvage was found dead in the gateway to a field near the hospital in January 2006.
Her son attacked Mrs Le Sauvage in her home on 5 January after an argument.

I would call seven years for strangling one’s mother to death, then concealing the body, disproportionate as well…
it should have been LIFE, and how he got away with a manslaughter charge because of his supposedly unhappy childhood is utterly beyond me.
Shameful.

A review most welcome.
Increase the sentence!!!!

The initial sentence was a joke, people get more for cannabis offences.
He’s clearly a very disturbed person, a long spell in a psychiatric institution would be of some use perhaps.

I completely agree that he should be allowed to request a court hearing. Maybe then people would realise that the decision made by the parole committee was made unfairly…in respect of Elaine. He should have got much longer behind bars, life in my eyes. The court system is absolutely ridiculous over here. Like Phil mentions, you get more for handling drugs. Elaine’s death was murder, I do not understand how anybody can look at the situation and offer a manslaughter charge at six years. Complete ludacris!!

The good patrons of these forums would appreciate the comments of any defence lawyer who would be willing to explain to us why this danger to society will be out on the streets again in a couple of years.
Also whether you are happy about that outcome (job done surely) and comfortable with the knowledge that potentially he could be dating a member of your family or a freind soon??
We’d also like to know how you sleep at night?
