ROCQUE to rock riders raised almost £20,000 for Les Bourgs Hospice yesterday – and organisers said there was more to come.
Around 850 people registered for the round the island cycle that is now in its 18th year.
There were three official start points – North Beach at 9am for the full 24-mile route, Rocquaine at 10am and Grandes Rocques at 11am.
Yesterday also marked the end of the 30/30 Challenge, which saw entrants commit to ride at least an hour every day during May.
Friends of Les Bourgs member and organiser of the Rocque to Rock for the past 15 years Mira Domaille said they were just a few pounds short of reaching £20,000 on the day.
