Bels coach not for turning
Tuesday 8th June 2010, 2:29PM BST.
IAN CHAMPION will not return to the Track as Bels’ first team coach.
After promising to reconsider his resignation, Champion told Bels president Hilary Sarre he would give the matter further thought and let the club know of his decision in time for their next committee meeting last night.
That decision was in the negative and the club now start a search for a new coach, with Leighton Chainey considered favourite.

Voice For Victims
Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
This is a real shame.
Just as Bels look to be moving forward as a club they shoot themselves in the foot – AGAIN!!
The players would never have dared mess this way with Budlow…

it does make you wonder if all of the threads on this site were true a couple of months ago
i have heard and i dont know if it is true that champion was put into an impossible position to carry on
strange when he says quite openly how much he thinks of the players that he leaves them
me thinks there is more to this and we will probably never find out

Just got back from holiday and I cant believe Champy has left
I think that everyone deserves to know why, was this out of the blue?
I thought Bels were sorted out for many years to come, yes things are never easy at Bels but last year was such a step in the right direction
It is very sad
