Sarnian athletes power to success along the Danube

GUERNSEY athletes delivered great performances at Austria IronMan 70.3.
Alan Rowe won the M45 category while Karina Bowie and Ian Scholes both placed sixth in their respective age groups out of a total field of 3,000 triathletes from across the world.
The three athletes all gained valuable qualifying slots for the IronMan 70.3 World Championships in Florida in November this year, although only Bowie intends to take up the place.
Bowie started the half ironman distance race in the third wave containing all of the women, starting after the pro field and the younger male competitors.
