In the Queen’s-sponsored third round of the summer series, Robert thought he was onto a winner in heat one having led for nine laps when his kart threw a chain, leaving Torode, who had worked his way up from near the back, to grab the win, with Fraser Torode following him home.
Robert chased hard in the second heat but had to settle for second behind Angus.
Robert drove to victory in heat three when the cards turned and it was Angus who suffered the same fate of a bent sprocket that threw his chain on lap eight and Fraser gained another second place.
Angus had pole for the final but Robert got the edge off the start and stayed ahead to the chequered flag with Angus crossing the line only one tenth behind.
