Sea-themed scarecrow trial a huge hit

A CHANGE of face this week – Phil has gone to Jersey for a few days, leaving me in charge.
Actually, it was touch and go as to whether or not I would be able to actually send the copy to the Guernsey Press, as parts of Sark had a 14-hour power cut.
Thanks to all the staff at the power station, who worked tirelessly all Tuesday night and most of Wednesday to right the fault.
The Sark Carnival Committee’s Scarecrow Trail, mentioned in last week’s column, proved a huge hit with families visiting over the half-term holiday as well as with Sark children – and adults.
