A REPORT into the proposed Leale’s Yard development seems designed to ‘delay and ultimately derail’ the project, according to the developer.
Leale’s Yard Ltd was commenting on the report by real-estate adviser DTZ, which was commissioned jointly by the Chamber of Commerce and Guernsey Retail Forum.
DTZ said the development would lead to shop closures across the island and called for a forum to be convened as soon as possible to put forward a robust retail strategy.
However, a spokesman for Leale’s Yard Ltd said the development would complement St Peter Port rather than compete with it.

Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
