Both sides hail victory

BOTH prison officers and their management claimed victory yesterday when the result of an industrial tribunal over pay and conditions was announced.
Each side appeared pleased with the outcome following a day of debate on Tuesday about working practices at the prison.
But the men say they are still considering a vote of no confidence in acting prison governor Rachel Green, depending on how management now work with the union to design new rosters.
She declined to comment on the motion.
