Terrible-to-fight ferry fire damaged ramp hydraulics

A SENIOR firefighter has described the terrible conditions they endured battling the Commodore Clipper blaze.
Operations commander Mark Wittcomb yesterday outlined the dangers his officers faced tackling the freight-deck fire as the ferry arrived in Portsmouth from Guernsey and Jersey.
The Hampshire crew were ready with seven fire engines and support appliances when the boat docked, he said.
