GROUNDWORK will soon start on Les Beaucamps High School in anticipation of its major rebuild.
The redevelopment of the site was one of the capital projects prioritised for funding by the States last autumn and since then the Education Department project team has worked to take it to tender stage, said a spokeswoman.
‘The construction of the new school buildings on land to the west of the existing school will require additional main foul drainage works,’ she said.
‘The opportunity is being taken during the school summer holidays to carry out these drainage works to cause the least disruption possible to neighbours, the existing school and during the construction of the new school buildings.’
This includes the provision of a new foul drain along part of Rue des Deslisles.

Voice For Victims
Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
Work is thin on the ground in the building trades at the moment. I hope locals have top priority on these projects during these difficult times.
