Manor Place. Collas Day buildingCOLLAS DAY has confirmed it is to be the latest law firm to leave prominent offices outside Guernsey’s Royal Court for waterfront premises.

The company has occupied Manor Place since before the Second World War, but a desire to occupy more modern facilities will see that long connection come to a close at the start of next year when it takes up the entire first floor at Glategny Court, the office development currently under construction by ComProp, at Glategny Esplanade.

Over the last four years, Collas Day has gradually moved staff from four premises, to three and since 2008 has been solely at Manor Place as well as in five suites over two-and-a-half floors at Pollet House in the Lower Pollet.

The law firm said that although Manor Place was pleasant, it did not cater for the needs of a modern service provider with more than 80 staff, as well as visiting clients.
