A MAN who was robbed in Candie Road by two hooded youths was allegedly threatened at knifepoint.

A source close to the victim said the attackers held the weapon to the 20-year-old’s throat before running off with his money and mobile phone.

Police would not confirm or deny the reports yesterday.

‘The investigation into the incident at Candie Road is progressing,’ a spokesman said. ‘We cannot divulge any more details than that because they may be known only to the offenders and the victim and we do not want to prejudice the inquiry.’

It is understood that the man had been walking up the road alone at about 4.20am on Sunday.
