Best business urges others to seek award

Julian WinserENTERING the Awards for Achievement is a positive exercise that allows organisations to take another look at how they do things, according to the boss of last year’s overall business winner.

Schroders Private Banking chief executive Julian Winser (pictured) was speaking at the launch event for the opening of the nominations ahead of next year’s awards ceremony on Thursday 3 February at Beau Sejour.

He said that while winning an award was obviously the aim, and the glitz and glamour of the night was great, companies got so much out of just putting themselves forward for an award.

‘It’s a huge opportunity for any company to evaluate, or re-evaluate their own values,’ said Mr Winser. ‘It also allows them to demonstrate that they care about their employees, community, environment and most importantly their clients.’
