Iceland on way to Manor Stores
Friday 25th June 2010, 2:30PM BST.
ICELAND will be opening at Manor Stores in August.
The Checkers Xpress will be refurbished and rebranded as Iceland, right down to the carrier bags and the uniforms.
All staff will be kept on and four additional posts will be created.
It is another boost for the retail sector after the announcement on Wednesday that Waitrose would be buying Checkers Admiral Park and Safeway from Sandpiper.
Sandpiper CEO Tony O’Neill (pictured) said Manor Stores would have almost a full range of Iceland products.

Haha Lesley R :)
The Manor Stores used to be a great place to shop years ago. It went down dramatically and their prices shot up through the roof!
The only goody bit are recycling bins in top car park.
Good luck to Iceland, you can’t be any worse, not possible (is it?) Just hope not all frozen foods, local fresh produce too please.
Is Sandpiper selling all off? Hopes so
