TOM KIMBER smashed an unbeaten century at the KGV last night – but it proved to be in a losing cause.
The island wicketkeeper-batsman hit 10 fours and a couple of sixes coming in at first-wicket down for St Pierre in their clash with Grant Thornton as he contributed 102 of his side’s total of 158.
However, support was hard to come by with Glenn Le Tissier (17) and Dominic Rigby (23) the only other batsmen to reach double figures as Saints finished their 20 overs six wickets down.
An excellent opening stand worth 125 between hard-hitters Paul Finn and Mike Read got the Grant Thornton reply off to the ideal start.
