GUERNSEY’S quest for European glory will be taking in Croatia as originally planned.

There had been speculation that the Uefa Regions Cup preliminary round could have been moved, because of the Eastern European country’s delay in sorting out arrangements to host the competition, which will take place from 23 to 30 September.

But the confirmation that Croatia will still host the event came from Uefa yesterday, although exact venues and schedules will not be finalised until late next month.

Tony Vance’s team, who qualified by winning the FA National League Systems Cup in stunning fashion, will face opposition from the hosts, Turkey and Wales.
