Elizabeth gain revenge in historic limited-overs game

THE first inter-collegiate match played on a purely limited overs basis with powerplays, the lot, produced a win for the much-vaunted Elizabeth side led by Tim Ravenscroft.
Having lost the first meeting between the two sides in Jersey earlier in the season, Elizabeth needed a positive result to salvage a reputation of a team high on talent but a shade low on application.
Their collective school report, despite this 10-run win in a thrilling game at the College Field, would no doubt be summed up by the simple statement ‘could do better’.
Great things have been expected of this group of players for several years, but for all their natural talent they have generally flattered to deceive.
