THE former world No. 1 pairing ended Heather Watson’s All England Championships at Wimbledon late on Friday evening.
Playing alongside fellow young Briton Jocelyn Rae, the Guernsey starlet lost 6-4, 6-3 to Lisa Raymond and Rennae Stubbs in the second round of the women’s doubles on Court Five.
The Watson-Rae combination had made it through to face the seventh seeds following a come-from-behind three-set victory over Casey Dellacqua and Alicia Molik.
‘Obviously we’re disappointed because we want to win, we don’t want to lose,’ said Watson.
‘It was the first time we played together and we got through a round a Wimbledon.’
