Aero Club takes off with improved clubhouse

The clubhouse has just undergone a £100,000 refurbishment to increase the size of the training room and upstairs bar area. A large balcony has been created to allow panoramic views of the runway and taxiway.
‘We started in late January,’ said Rob Le Page, from the club.
‘We completed it on 19 June, but the planning of this started three years ago.
‘We were getting to the point that we were outgrowing the facilities we had with the large numbers of members.’
