CONFIDENCE is building in the housing market, an estate agent has said.
Cooper Brouard director Trevor Cooper (pictured) said an active sector of the local market this year had been the £300,000-£450,000 range and that was beginning to filter through to the higher ranges, with £1m.-plus sales being achieved when even viewings were rare at the same time last year.
Last month’s conveyancing figures show that five properties over £1m. were sold that month compared with three in June 2009.
In total, 157 property transactions took place but that included family and inter-company sales worth £42,705,594. Sixty-six local houses and 24 local flats were sold.
