Emily, 16, wins national volunteer of the year

A BLANCHELANDE Year 11 pupil has won a national young volunteer of the year award.
Emily Nuttall, 16, beat hundreds of entrants from across the UK to win the Association of Charity Shops accolade for her dedication to Les Bourgs Hospice.
She attended the charity retail awards ceremony at Keele University in Staffordshire.
Les Bourgs volunteer manager Vanessa Kenny nominated her.
‘Emily has been working at our Bridge shop since in first opened in 2007,’ she said.
