THE founder of Le Lacheur & Co believes that a merger with fellow accountancy firm Alex Picot will enable her further to grow the business.

Lois Le Lacheur set up her own Guernsey practice in 2000 and has since seen it grow to a team of six specialising in accounts preparation and tax for around 180 local clients, both businesses and individuals.

The merger with Jersey firm Alex Picot, which became effective on 1 July, has seen the Guernsey business renamed Le Lacheur Picot and the one Alex Picot employee in the island move from Le Foulon Business Centre to join her new colleagues at Island House in the Rohais.

Mrs Le Lacheur is now the managing director of Le Lacheur Picot and responsible for the day-to-day running of the new firm, while Alex Picot partners David Picot and Stephen Phillips will support her as directors.
